Scary Movie 6 is back with the original casting crew of the first two movies.
Scary Movie 6 is expected to make waves on the Internet with its recent trailer. The trailer actually debuted playing before Scream 7. This seemed like a perfect way to mark the movie, since the new scary movie feels like a parenting scream, just like they did with the first one.
I think it’s good to have these parody movies like Scary Movie 6, as Hollywood seems to take itself super seriously nowadays. There’s a time and place for serious movies and also political movies, but it seems like everything is serious and political nowadays.
We really need silly, goofy movies and good comedies. Now more than ever, with all the serious stuff going on in the world, it seems like everything gets worse every day. We need something that will truly take us away from all the evil in the world and give us something to laugh about for a couple of hours.
There’s something about universally funny movies as well, such as the jackass movies, Bad Grandpa, or the Scary Movies.
Scary movies have done a good job of being pretty universally liked for their humor. I know people of all age groups who find the movies funny. We need that kind of humor that brings everyone together, makes everyone laugh, and lets everyone have a good time. It seems like those kinds of movies are few and far between nowadays.
I also think it’s good to parody new movies, because this is somewhat of a lost art. Back in the day, we still had movies being parodied by Major Studios. You had Mel Brooks making Young Frankenstein, which became almost as big as some of the other Frankenstein movies.
I think it’s fun to have these sorts of spoof movies because they give people an outlet not to take themselves too seriously. Also, movies take themselves so seriously nowadays, and I think it’s ripe to poke fun at a couple of them. So many people take themselves too seriously, especially a lot of these celebrities nowadays. Scary Movie 6 will be a great throwback.
