Here's how to use your Original Resin efficiently to maximize profile building.
Resin is one of the most important resources in Genshin Impact. It is used to claim rewards from Ley Line Outcrops, Domains, Normal and Weekly Bosses. Resin regenerates slowly over time and it is very important to spend it efficiently in order to strengthen your characters and progress in the game. A common mistake many new players make is spending their Resin without a plan.
Material Emphasis on Character and Weapon
If you’re still building your main team, use your Original Resin on Domains that drop character Talent materials and weapon Ascension materials. Upgrading talents and weapons is a huge boost to your damage output, often more than just the increase in character levels.
You’ll also want to get character Ascension materials from world bosses. Defeat these bosses with Resin to get unique materials to level up your characters to higher level caps. Prioritize the characters you use most rather than trying to upgrade everyone at the same time.
Don’t Ignore Ley Line Outcrops
Ley Line Outcrops are a good way to get Character EXP Materials and Mora. If you need either of those resources, it's often better to spend Resin here than to farm artifacts again and again.
Blue Ley Lines give Hero's Wit and other experience materials, and Gold Ley Lines give Mora. Having a good stock of both will make sure you can level any new characters you get as soon as you get them.
Farm Artifacts at the Proper Time
Artifact Domains are one of the biggest Resin sinks in Genshin Impact, but it’s not efficient to farm them too early. You are not guaranteed 5 star artifacts without reaching adventure rank 45, so it is hard to build good sets.
Most players recommend saving up until you’re at Adventure Rank 45 before sinking large chunks of Resin into artifact farming. Until then, use the artifacts you naturally get from quests, bosses, and exploration, and use your Resin wisely on guaranteed progression materials.
Reserve Fragile Resin for the Right Time
Fragile Resin will instantly restore Original Resin and should be used with caution. Don’t spend it right after you get it; save it for Adventure Rank 45 and above, where farming high-quality artifacts becomes much more fruitful.
One of the best ways to improve your account in Genshin Impact is to manage your Original Resin wisely. Prioritize character materials, hold off on farming artifacts until you reach higher Adventure Ranks, and save your Fragile Resin for opportunities that are actually worth it, and you'll be able to make steady progress while getting the most out of every Resin refill.
