Honkai Star Rail: How to Use the Omni-Synthesizer Guide

The Omni-Synthesizer is one of the most useful crafting tools in Honkai: Star Rail. You can craft Consumables, combine lower-rarity materials into higher-rarity materials, trade some materials, and eventually craft Relics. Knowing how to use it properly saves time and precious resources.

Getting into the Omni-Synthesizer

Once you’ve unlocked the Omni-Synthesizer, you can access it directly from your Phone menu. The physical Synthesizer in the Parlor Car is also available. The craftable items are arranged in the menu into categories, so that you can easily find the materials or items you need.

Producing Consumables

In the Consumables section, you can view the recipes that you have unlocked. Choose an item and review the materials needed to begin the synthesis. Consumables can provide a variety of combat benefits, including healing, energy restoration, and temporary stat bonuses.

How to Mix Materials

The Omni-Synthesizer is able to combine multiple lower-rarity materials into a higher-rarity version. Choose the item you want to craft and then put in the lower-rarity items needed. This is especially useful when upgrading Characters, Light Cones and Traces need materials, that you don’t have enough at the time.

How to Trade Resources

Material Exchange allows you to exchange unwanted materials for those you want. This is useful when you have collected large amounts of one material but not another. Always make sure that you check your inventory before you trade anything. By doing this, you make sure that you aren't using materials that you might need in the future for upgrades.

Creating Relics

When Relic crafting is unlocked, you can use Relic Remains to craft Relics of some sets and equipment slots. This can be especially useful if you’re missing a particular Relic piece. If you want to choose the main stat on a crafted Relic, you can also use Self-Modeling Resin. These resources are limited, so it’s generally better to save them for worthwhile upgrades instead of spending them immediately.

Top Tips for the Best Omni-Synthesizer

Don’t change materials without a reason. Stockpile a healthy supply of common materials for future upgrades to Character, Light Cone and Trace. Synthesis is for when you need a higher rarity material right now, and exchanges are for when you have a lot of excess materials in your inventory.
