I believe the new Jurassic Park film is the worst one yet. Although the premise of Jurassic World Rebirth was interesting, its bland writing really leaves much to be desired.
Another Jurassic Park film is out, Jurassic World Rebirth. This time, there’s no Chris Pratt, and an all-new cast of characters, not featured in the original film. Scarlett Johansson is in Jurassic World Rebirth; she does a very good job with what she’s given, but it’s not enough to save the film.
Jurassic World Rebirth suffers from very generic character syndrome. So many cookie-cutter films nowadays, especially in the action genre, seem to have the most generic characters imaginable. It gets to the point where it’s insufferable, and you don’t root for the characters at all, making the movie feel pretty pointless.
I’m a massive dinosaur fan, and I absolutely love the first Jurassic Park. So I’ll sit through any kind of Jurassic Park movie. I find that even the lesser films in the series, such as The Lost World and Jurassic Park III, at least had really good dinosaur scenes. Even the Jurassic World films all had great dinosaur scenes as well. But I think in Jurassic World: Rebirth, even the one or two good dinosaur scenes can’t save it.

There isn’t one dinosaur scene that really felt awesome like any of the other Jurassic Park movies. The one that was the best was the scene with the T-Rex in the water chasing the boat. But that wasn’t an original idea for this movie, as it was a scene in the Jurassic Park novel.
The premise is interesting, featuring an island that serves as a research facility for Jurassic Park. But unfortunately, Jurassic World Rebirth is about as bland as it gets. I’m more frustrated than anything because I found every Jurassic Park or Jurassic World movie to at least be entertaining in some capacity.
None of them will ever live up to the original film, as it is a science fiction masterpiece. However, all of them always had some fun scenes, and I felt that Jurassic World Rebirth would be the first Jurassic Park movie that I plan on not watching a second time.
