Here's a quick guide on how you can build strong teams in Neverness to Everness.
In Neverness to Everness, the assembling of a powerful team is not merely the assembling of powerful characters. Good teams have damage, survivability and utility to take on a variety of encounters. Understanding what each character does and making good synergy between them will enable you to clear story missions, boss fights and endgame content much more efficiently.
Understand the Roles of the Characters
Every team must have a clear balance of roles. The most successful teams usually have a main damage dealer, one or two supports and a unit that can heal, shield or crowd control.
You want your main DPS on the field most of the time, with characters that boost damage, apply debuffs, or provide useful buffs. Defensive characters help the team to get through tough matches without losing too much offensive power.
Teamwork & Synergy Focus
Rather than selecting your rarest characters, go for abilities that complement each other. Some characters can group enemies together so your damage dealer can hit all of them at once. Some increase attack power, others lower enemy defenses. Some trigger powerful combinations of effects. A team that has good synergy will often beat a team that has stronger individual characters that don’t work well together.

Select Your Main Damage Dealer
Pick one character to be your main damage dealer and build your team around that character. Supports should make your DPS more effective and your healers/defensive units should help them survive longer fights. Don’t hand out your upgrade materials equally among all your characters. Focus on your core team and you can move a lot faster.
Adapt to Different Content
Different activities require different team makeup. Balanced teams and reliable healing can help with story missions. Boss fights could favor high single target damage. Some characters may have mobility or utility skills that aid in exploration. Bring the same team for every situation, feel free to swap characters as the challenge changes.
Bring Together Your Core Team
A well upgraded team is often more powerful than a larger set of characters that are not developed. Upgrade your main heroes, upgrade their equipment and upgrade their skills when possible. Use cash.
If you want to get to the later stages of the game you have to make sure that your core team is upgraded properly and ready to face tougher enemies.

Test & Refine Characters
You can mix and match different characters that you unlock to find the best fit for your play style. Some teams are good at fast aggressive fighting; some teams are good at staying alive and doing damage over time.
Pay attention to how your units stack up against each other in battle, and replace any units that aren’t pulling their weight. With your roster expanding, the finest teams are created through perpetual experimentation to determine the ideal lineup for each challenge in Neverness to Everness.
