In Palworld, weapons and armor are essential to survive, though they will gradually degrade with use. Open the Workbench 

To repair any gear, you must first unlock the Repair Bench in the Technology menu. It’s available early in the game, and one of the most useful structures to build as soon as you can. When you unlock it, craft the Repair Bench at your base. Keep it handy, you'll likely be using it often during your adventure. 

Collect Repair Materials

Equipment is repaired using the same materials that the item was originally made from. Stone tools usually need wood and stone. Metal weapons usually require ingots. Firearms may require ingots and more advanced materials. Depending on its tier, armor usually takes cloth, leather, fiber or refined metals. 

If you don’t know what materials you need, interact with the Repair Bench and select the damaged item. The game will show you the necessary resources before you confirm the repair.

Fix Your Gear Using the Bench

The Repair Bench is quite easy to use. Use the interact button to open the Repair Bench menu. The repair list will contain any broken weapon, armor piece, shield, or tool found in your inventory. Choose the item you want to repair, see if you have the materials required and click the repair button. 

High Level Equipment Repair

As you go further into the game, you’ll unlock stronger weapons like assault rifles, rocket launchers and advanced armor sets. They require more rare resources to repair like Refined Ingots, Polymer, Carbon Fiber, etc. These resources can be expensive, so it is worth having a steady line of production. Get Mining Pals for ore sites, automate your furnaces and make sure you always have crafting materials on hand so repairs don’t hold you up before hard boss fights. 

Tips for Repair Cost Savings

Repairs are cheaper than producing entirely new equipment, but durability management can save even more resources. Change weapons instead of using a single favorite, especially when clearing out weaker enemies. Bring tools for back-ups so you don't wear one thing out too fast.
