Sucker for Love: Crush Landing doesn’t always spell out what you’re supposed to do next. Much of the early game is spent exploring the apartment, learning what your items do and keeping Hheily’s flame alive. Once you know how the various systems function, the puzzles are much easier to follow.

Look Around Before You Do Anything

Upon gaining control, don't immediately use items. Walk through the apartment and check the fridge, freezer, bathroom, kitchen, tables, and other objects you can interact with. Some items that can be useful are easily overlooked, and you will want to know what you have on hand before you begin feeding Hheily.

This is especially important, as some items will be altered by Hheily's eating. The bananas are a good example of this. They start green, turn yellow after progressing and can eventually become overripe and lose their useful color.

Keep Hheily's Flame Alive

The important thing to remember for the early puzzles is Hheily's Flame. When it starts getting low, you will have to feed her items with the colors she needs.

But don't just throw the first bright thing you see into the fire. Some colors can only be obtained from certain items, so it is worth checking your inventory and the apartment before using anything. The chameleon is particularly helpful, as it can change to match another colored item in your inventory.

Be Careful With Your Items

The biggest mistake you can make is to use an item without thinking about the consequences. Feeding Hheily makes certain items advance to their next stage, which can change their color entirely.

If you have something in your hand you think you might want later, you might want to hold it for a little while. You can also save before experimenting, especially if you are about to use an item for the first time.

Check Your Surroundings When Stuck

If you don't know what to do next, go back to the apartment and check some more. You might already have what you need, or things might have changed since you last looked.

Don't Rush Through the Story

There are also visitors, letters, phone calls and other events that can impact your progression. Instead of skipping through everything, pay attention to what happens around the apartment.
