There’s quite a bit to do in TOHOTOPIA besides following the main story. While exploring, you’ll run into requests and smaller activities that are easy to ignore when you’re focused on the next objective. If you want extra rewards, these requests and side activities are definitely worth checking out.

Find Requests While Exploring

Requests are usually found as you move around different areas. If you spot a character who seems to need help, stop and talk to them. You might pick up a request that has nothing to do with the main story. It’s also a good idea to revisit places you’ve already explored, since you may find something new there later.

Talk to Everyone

Don’t only speak to characters with obvious quest markers. Some of the smaller activities start through ordinary conversations, so it pays to interact with people you meet. Even when a character doesn’t have a request for you, they might point you toward something worth checking out.

Pay Attention to Objectives

Before heading off, actually read what the request asks you to do. Most objectives give you enough information to work out where you need to go or what you need to find. A quick look at the details can save you from running around the map trying random things.

Combine Tasks With Exploration

If a request takes you somewhere new, look around while you’re there. You might find another character, item, or activity nearby. Doing things this way is much quicker than constantly travelling back and forth across the map.

Check Unfinished Requests

It’s surprisingly easy to accept a request and forget about it. Take a look through your active objectives now and then, particularly if you’re not sure what to do next. If one task is giving you trouble, leave it for a while and come back when you’re better prepared.

Collect Your Rewards

Once you’ve finished a request, make sure the final step is actually done. Some tasks may require you to return to the character who gave them to you. Don’t walk away assuming everything is complete if the objective is still showing as unfinished.

Requests and side activities give you plenty of reasons to wander off the main path in TOHOTOPIA. Talk to the characters you meet, keep an eye on your objectives, and check new areas instead of rushing through them. You don’t need to finish every request immediately; just deal with them when they fit naturally into your journey.
