From water-gun waifus to post-apocalyptic cosplay queens, these games delivered fan service on full blast.

2024 was a year so jam-packed with fanservice-heavy games. Fortunately, we’ve combed through the pixelated panty drawers and overclocked jiggle physics engines to bring you 10 more titles that didn’t just wink at the fans—they threw them a full-blown kiss with tongue.

These games know their audience and deliver everything from nostalgic remakes to waifu warfare and thigh-high tactical action. So, let’s dive into the shameless, the silly, and the spectacular—here are the top 10 fan service games of 2024 that deserve a spot on your radar.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fan Service, Tifa

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Let’s start with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is without a doubt the king of high-budget fan service. When that famous PS3 tech demo came out in 2005, hints of a possible remake of the original PlayStation classic made Square Enix fans beg for this game. When Final Fantasy VII Remake came out in 2020 and did well, the project grew into a full trilogy. The second part, Rebirth, came out in February 2024, and it goes all the way.

Rebirth knows exactly what it’s doing, from the way Aerith’s dress moves in the sun to Tifa’s… well, Tifa-ness. But this isn’t just pretty pictures; it’s a love letter to the fans. Synergy attacks and real-time combat give players a lot of exciting action that they can do with their team. You can fish, race chocobo, play awkward dating games, and find enough inside jokes to make even the most serious Cloud fan laugh out loud.

The game also looks great. The character models have way too many details, and the environments are huge and beautifully drawn. Rebirth is fan service with a triple-A budget and a real love for the source material. Metacritic gave it a score of 92, which I think is still too low.

Nigate Tale, Gameplay, Anime, GamesCreed

Nigate Tale

This is a roguelike dungeon crawler where you play as Roy, a nerdy engineer who crashes into a castle full of monster girls. It’s like Monster Musume meets Hades. In each run, you have to jump through procedurally generated mazes, shoot enemies, and form bonds with different half-human, half-beast women who give you boosts and special abilities.

You can use a variety of weapons, spells, and monster-girl combos in the fast-paced battles. The artwork has a lot of anime charm, and the designs aren’t afraid to be sexual. But underneath all the flashy graphics is a real game. It does repeat itself and needs some work, but with a few changes, this could easily become a standout in its genre.

It’s basically a Saturday morning anime that you found on a sketchy channel at 2 a.m. and couldn’t stop watching.

Maiden Cops, Bunny Girl, Anime Bunny Girl, GamesCreed

Maiden Cops

It’s never felt so good to bust skulls in stilettos. It’s a lot of fun to play Maiden Cops, a 2D beat-em-up game like Final Fight or Streets of Rage. In this game, you play as crime-fighting pin-ups in a neon-lit city full of criminals and chaos.

Every “maiden” brings something unique to the fight, like combos and tag-team moves that would make Chun-Li blush. The pixel art is beautiful, making me think of arcade games while turning up the cleavage and spark effects all the way. It’s sly and cute, and the beginning is one of the most dramatic of any independent brawler out there.

It’s clear why this game got a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. The outfit is stylish, retro, and cocky, with just the right amount of silliness.

Zenless Zone Zero, Pink Hair Anime Girl, GamesCreed

Zenless Zone Zero

With Zenless Zone Zero, HoYoverse moved the waifu wars from fantasy fields to a world full of chaos and computers. This action RPG, which came out in July 2024, does not have turn-based battles. Instead, fights happen in real time. The fighting is so smooth that it could sell moisturizer. You can quickly switch between anime characters while chaining combos in “Hollows” that are generated by an algorithm.

But the real fan service here is the way it looks. There are neon cities, fashion disasters that look like they came from anime (in a good way), and idle animations that make you want to watch a cutscene again just to see someone brush their hair. The bad guys look cool, too. The gacha mechanics aren’t too heavy to ruin the fun, and the story has some real bite to it.

Zenless Zone Zero is the crazy girl your mom told you not to date if Genshin Impact is your dream girlfriend.

Eternal Dreamland, Bikini Girl, Gameplay, GamesCreed

Eternal Dreamland

Even though it’s not perfect, Eternal Dreamland still deserves its fan service badge. You play as a high school student trying to stay alive in a zombie-infested wasteland after the end of the world. The game has crafting, combat, and just the right amount of fan service physics to make you scratch your head.

On a very small budget, it tries to be an action game, a survival sim, a crafting system, a dress-up doll, and an emotional story. As a result, it’s a hot mess, but it’s fun to look at.

The UI is awful and the combat is shaky, but the game has heart in its goals. Plus, it costs less than $5. Have you ever wished that The Last of Us had anime cosplay and bad physics? Well, here it is.

Awaken: Astral Blade, Ash Hair Anime Character, GamesCreed

Awaken: Astral Blade

This one hits. The 2D side-scrolling game Awaken: Astral Blade is like a mix between Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Metroidvania exploration, and a cool cyborg main character. Tanya is part machine, part mystery, and all eye candy. She’s also a badass, though, and can slice through grotesque monsters with parries, dodges, and smooth animations.

The environments are beautifully drawn, the boss fights are huge, and exploring is really fun. If you want your anime heroines to have both style and substance, Awaken has it.

Even though the plot isn’t very strong, no one is turning this into a Shakespeare play. Thanks to Tanya’s movement, the flashy graphics, and the tough fighting, this is one of the best fan service packages of the year.

Waifu Impact 2, Fan Service Games, GamesCreed

Waifu Impact 2

Waifu Impact 2 does exist; this is not a drill. The game started as a joke where anime girls sprayed each other with water guns. It has since grown into a more polished (but still adorably stupid) third-person shooter with XP systems, open-world island hopping, and waifus locked up in crystal prisons.

Once a waifu is freed, it becomes a playable character with new abilities. You can level up, dress up, and yes, use weapons that float in water. But hey, the environments are bright, the upgrades are useful, and the costumes are cool. Let’s say the developers know who they’re making it for.

Waifu Impact 2 doesn’t have any Game of the Year awards, but it should for being so daring. It’s silly, there aren’t many stakes, and it’s surprisingly fun.

Fida Puti Samurai, Anime Girl, GamesCreed

Fida Puti Samurai

It was a surprise. Fida Puti Samurai is a first-person shooter that looks and feels like it was made for the PS1, with glitchy graphics and a virtual world feel. You play as Liza and test a VR simulation that quickly turns into a digital plot.

It has many strange weapons, great sound design, and surprisingly good storytelling. The fan service isn’t just in the looks, though those are nice, but also in how it mixes old-school looks with new-school gameplay.

It’s like Ghost in the Shell and Quake had a cute kid who had trouble with his dad.

Bunny Girl, Bunny Guntz, Gameplay, GamesCreed

Bunny Guntz

Gun-toting bunny girls? Stop talking. In Bunny Guntz, a crazy co-op action game, you dress up as a battle bunny and fight demons, survive waves, and improve your weapons.

It gets harder quickly, especially when you’re by yourself, so you need to work with other people. It’s crazy, fun, and full of times when you’ll wonder, “Did that demon just go off like fireworks?” Yes. It did, yes.

The costumes are just as well-thought-out as the settings, and the tone is never too serious. It is a must-have for anyone who likes tower defense games, anime tropes, and bunny ears.

Anime School Girl, Gameplay, GamesCreed

Kraken City

Finally, let’s end with the game that is the blatantly silly one on the list. You play as a dark magician in Kraken City who is devoted to the tentacled God Neilattoo. In exchange for magic and new clothes, you offer human sacrifices.

In every good way, it’s too much. There are crazy combos, bright cityscapes, and one of the coolest ways to summon monsters ever—you can call in the Kraken to beat your enemies up.

It looks like Bayonetta went to Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball and dressed up as Cthulhu. What’s not to love?

We got a lot of fan service games in 2024, and each one satisfied a different need. These games, ranging from remakes of old favorites like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to low-budget treats like Waifu Impact 2, were full of cute graphics, crazy fun, and lots of silly things. It’s okay to enjoy the show, whether you’re into the tight fighting, the jiggle physics, or the anime melodrama.

Fan service doesn’t always mean depth, but it does mean dedication to the game’s look and feel and giving players exactly what they didn’t know they needed. Now, please excuse us; we’re going to wait patiently for Waifu Impact 3: Electric Boobgaloo.
