Homo Ludens’s management simulation, Blooming Business: Casino, is closing in on its May release.
Blooming Business: Casino, a simulation management game set in a casino theme, has been in development at French indie studio Homo Ludens since last year, and it will launch on Steam in May 2023, as previously announced.
Managing a chic casino from its beginnings to its eventual meteoric rise to prominence is the goal of Blooming Business: Casino, a bright and endearing strategy game. The game takes its cue from the boom of Las Vegas in the 1950s; it’s set in an alternate reality where animals can run casinos and even the criminal underworld.
The many adorable and lovingly animated animal characters play regular gamblers, dealers, and high rollers in the casino. They breathe new life into the game by allowing players to bond with and learn about the VIPs’ histories, anxieties, and wishes.
Players in Blooming Business: Casino will construct and manage their gambling establishment. Planning the layout and decorations, developing a marketing plan, and determining the parameters of the games and their play are all necessary to ensure maximum profits.
They will also have to perform routine maintenance, evict disruptive customers, provide stimulating entertainment for customers, and generate genuine feelings of pride and accomplishment as customers rack up successes.
Despite first impressions, players will be tasked with maintaining high levels of satisfaction among employees and customers while navigating a complex network of factions, allegiances, and reputation management. Successful casino owners will learn how to balance the needs of the mob, the police, and other stakeholders while also satisfying the interests of all parties involved.
Blooming Business: Casino was built from the ground up to be easily modified, and after the game is released, Homo Ludens intends to share the tools used to create the game with the community. Players will be free to design their custom characters, furniture, and other game world elements.
The game will be published by Curve Games and is set to launch in May 2023 on Steam, and a playable demo is available to give this simulation a spin.
