Here's a quick guide on how to pick the best weapons for every Resonator in Wuthering Waves.
Choosing the right weapon is an important part of Resonators building in Wuthering Waves. Having a good weapon can increase damage, energy generation, or general team utility. Ultimately the best choice is going to depend on the role and abilities of each Resonator. You can build an effective character without a signature 5-star weapon.
Choose Weapons Based on Role
First, learn what your Resonator does. Main DPS characters usually want CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, ATK%, and damage bonuses. Sub-DPS characters might prioritize damage or Energy Regen, whereas Supports often benefit more from Energy Regen and team utility. Always check the Resonator's kit before you pick a weapon.
Signature Weapons
The signature weapon of a Resonator is usually their best option, as its passive is tailored to their abilities. If you’re going all-in on a favorite Main DPS, their signature weapon can make a noticeable difference.
Signature weapons are not required, a well-constructed Resonator can do very well with a strong alternate, especially if you already have a good set of Echoes and a suitable team.

Strong 5-Star Alternatives
Universal 5-star weapons are great investments because you can swap them around different Resonators. For example, Emerald of Genesis gives CRIT Rate and Energy Regen, so it’s useful for many Sword users. A couple of strong 5-star weapons can be used across multiple characters and teams,.
Don't Ignore 4-Star Weapons
4-Star weapons are also great choices, especially for F2P players. Depending on the Resonator, weapons such as Commando of Conviction, Autumntrace and Variation can give valuable stats or effects. Sometimes, a well refined 4-Star weapon with a good passive is more practical than an unoptimized 5-Star weapon.
Check the Weapon's Passive
Don’t choose a weapon just because of its base ATK or rarity. Read the passive and see if your Resonator reliably triggers it. A weapon that requires lots of Basic Attacks might not be useful on a character who spends most of his or her time using Skills or other abilities.

Upgrade Your Best Weapons
Concentrate on the weapons of your main squads. Upgrading all your weapons will use up your resources quickly, so concentrate on the ones you intend to use most. First, level the weapon up and consider refining it when you have duplicate copies and the investment is worth it.
Last Tips
The best weapon depends on the role of the Resonator, its abilities, stats, and rotation. Signature weapons are very good, but for many players strong 5-star and 4-star options are more efficient. Invest your resources into weapons that fit your best squads, and avoid upgrades that only give you a small boost.
