Here's a quick guide on how to use Waveplates efficiently in Wuthering Waves.
Waveplates are among the most important resources in Wuthering Waves. They are used to claim rewards from activities such as Boss Challenges, Forgery Challenges, Tacet Fields and Simulation Training. Waveplates regenerate over time, so it is good to use them efficiently for steady account progression.
Prioritize Your Main Team
First figure out which Resonators you actually use, then start spending Waveplates. Don’t invest too much in characters you don’t plan to play regularly. Level your Main DPS first, then important Sub-DPS and Supports. It is better to put money into some good characters than to use all the stuff you have on your roster.
Farm Ascension Materials
You’ll need to do Boss Challenges to get the materials you need to level up your Resonators’ level caps. Once a character hits an Ascension requirement, focus on collecting the resources needed to keep leveling that character. Don't farm large amounts of materials for characters you don't plan on building. Keep your Waveplates for Resonators that are in your current teams or that you will use soon.

Upgrade Weapons & Skills
Forgery Challenges reward items that are used to upgrade Weapons and Forte skills. These upgrades can give your characters some big boosts, especially when leveling out important abilities. Don't upgrade everything at once, upgrade the skills your characters use most often.
Farm Echoes at the Right Time
Tacet Fields are a key part of long-term progression, rewarding Echo EXP and other useful prizes. But don’t go searching for perfect Echoes with too many Waveplates early in your account. Temporary Echoes with decent stats are usually enough while you are still leveling up your characters, Weapons and Fortes.
Use Simulation Training When Needed
Simulation Training can provide handy Character EXP and Shell Credits. If you’re running low on either of these resources, spending Waveplates here will help you keep upgrading your characters. If you have a good stock of these materials, don't farm them too much. Use your Waveplates as needed for your account.

Don't Let Waveplates Stay Capped
Waveplates regenerate over time, so leaving them at the maximum capacity prevents further regeneration. Try to spend them regularly, even if you're only farming materials you'll need later. You don’t have to spend every Waveplate as soon as you get it, but avoiding long stretches at the cap will help you get more value from your natural regeneration.
Final Tips
To optimize your Waveplates, concentrate on your main team, collect Ascension materials, upgrade important Fortes and Weapons, and delay serious Echo farming until later. Never purchase Waveplates for something your account doesn’t really need.
