Damsel star, Millie Bobby Brown, gives a direct response to one complaint she always received.
Millie Bobby Brown, a talented actress who became quite the talk of the entertainment industry for her role in the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, however, the young actress has responded to one of the most frequently complained about issues she gets in harsh online comments. With the release of her new fantasy Netflix film, Damsel, the film has been going through a bit of a rough patch from some critics. However, that’s not the cause for the actress’s self-defense, instead, she has spoken about the frequent complaints about her accent.
Famous for her role in Stranger Things, the iconic actress is also involved with other high-profile projects such as Warner Bros. MonsterVerse and Netflix’s Enola Holmes movies. Although, despite the actress’s many successes, it seems one thing continues to come up time and again, comments aimed at the star’s accent.
Following this comment, Millie Bobby Brown addressed the issue during a TikTok interview with Max Balegde, stating that she can’t help wanting to mimic the accents around her. Whether it’s with her “fiancé or Jimmy Fallon who has a very American accent,” wanting to replicate even those, she further goes on to state that “I’m sorry if it offended you, okay? But listen, I’m trying my best! I’m trying my best.”
While the release of Netflix’s Damsel has received a mixed bag of reviews from critics, the film has landed a solid 75% approval rate from those who have watched the movie and has hit being the top movie on Netflix. However, fans are excited and eager for the actress to return one last time to a role that set it all in motion for Millie Bobby Brown.
Either way, with another hit on Netflix and some uncomfortable comments put to rest, the young actress can focus on other things. Hopefully, another smash fantasy.
