Sonic 3’s leaked storyboards seemingly confirm Eggman’s Return.
By now Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a high possibility of happening and Sonic, the iconic character is well known around the world for both the current films and game series. However, with popularity, comes knowledge of Eggman or Doctor Eggman, another iconic character and sworn enemy of the hero Sonic who is the blue talking hedgehog with boundless history in both entertainment and gaming.
The Sonic live-action movie is an action-packed movie with elements of comedy, fantasy, and deep-set emotions. We follow the character, Sonic, in his escape from the mad genius ,Doctor Eggman, who is hell-bent on experimenting on the little blue protagonist. However, after the second Sonic The Hedgehog movie was released back in 2022 with the brilliant actor who plays Doctor Eggman, Jim Carrey had previously stated that he was “fairly serious” about retiring.
As with all things, surprises come up and the leaked storyboard for Sonic 3 hints at the famous actor’s return as Doctor Eggman. Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the film series of Sonic seems have been hit with a hack such is the case of many companies to day, and of recently some projects from Paramount Pictures have been leaked, such as the new Fairly Odd Parents series and several other storyboards both for the Knuckles spinoff series and Sonic 3.
The leaked storyboard showed an interesting scene with Sonic and a shadowed figure in the shape of the iconic Eggman. Although it is probable that another actor might take the role of Doctor Eggman, however, Jim Carrey went on to say that if it was *really important for people to see him* he’d return to the role.
While nothing is confirmed yet, it’s up to Paramount as to what happens next but due to this leak, fans know that Doctor Eggman will be involved in some way. Overall, fans hope that Jim Carry can play the role of Eggman as he has the energy and matches the character’s crazy, to a ‘T’ while making it his own. However, without any confirmation on the matter, we can only hope that whoever takes up the role, will not disappoint fans and will add to the collection that made the beloved games and movies.
