Here are all the choices that lead you to different houses at the Hogwarts Legacy.
After the intro end (guide for the Hogwarts Legacy intro), keep walking when you arrive in Hogwarts, the famed school of magic and wizardry, and you will have to choose which one of the four houses they will be sorted into. These houses are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.
Just like in the movies and the books, the sorting hat will be placed on your character’s head, and from there, you will get to choose which House they will be sorted into.
Choosing Your House
Once the sorting hat is placed, the hat will ask you what your expectations are for attending school. You will be given two options:
“I can’t wait to start classes”
Or
“I can’t wait to explore”
Whichever you choose to answer won’t really affect the outcome. However, it’s the hat’s next question that will have a major impact on which House you will be sorted into.
The hat will then ask you to choose between four attributes. Each of these attributes is connected to each House and goes as follows:
Daring= Gryffindor
Curiosity= Ravenclaw
Loyalty= Hufflepuff
Ambition= Slytherin
If you aren’t satisfied with the hat’s choice, they can press Circle (PlayStation) or B (Xbox). This will then let you manually choose which House they want to be in. You will then have to confirm your decision by pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox). Doing this will unlock the “The Sort Who Makes an Entrance” Trophy/Achievement.
What Impact Does Your Choice Have on The Story
Your choice of House doesn’t have much of an impact on the overall story, but it will have an impact on which characters you will interact with during certain parts of the game’s story. You will also have unique house-specific side quests. Finally, your choice of House will also decide the color of your uniform:
Uniform Color
Gryffindor= Red+Gold
Ravenclaw= Blue+Bronze
Hufflepuff= Yellow+Black
Slytherin= Green+Silver

Hufflepuff P= oppy Sweeting
Slytherin= Sebastian Sallow
