If you have heard of the Esports team 100 Thieves, you’d probably know which games they play, such as Call of Duty and Fortnite. In this case, they also play another title called Valorant. If you are also unaware of the game, Valorant is a completely free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter that was released a little over a year ago. The popular Esports team claimed victory over another popular Esports team TSM in the North America Regional final to become First Strike Champions.
It was indeed a tough battle between the two teams, but 100 Thieves managed to gain the edge even though they were seen as the underdogs. 100 Thieves went on to tweet about their victory and congratulate the participating players. The tweet reads “VALORANT FIRST STRIKE CHAMPIONS. THE BEST VALORANT TEAM IN NORTH AMERICA: @nitr0 @Asunaa @diceyyzx @Hiko @JoshNissan”
Ninja who costreamed the event went on to also congratulate the team on his Twitter by saying “Huge congrats again to @100Thieves on the massive victory over TSM in the @PlayVALORANT first strike qualifiers!
