It’s been less than ten months, and already the brand-new Nvidia 50 Series GPUs are dropping in price significantly.
50 Series GPUs are already getting a price cut. You no longer have to worry about the nasty scalpers to get a 50-series GPU. But now, your concern should be that Nvidia’s brand new GPUs have gone down in price. Some of which have been cut down below MSRP. That’s right, if you want to get one now and have been patient because of the ridiculous over the MSRP prices from scalpers and even some retailers, your patience has become a virtue.
From January 2025, we’ve been getting the releases of GPUs as the months went by. In January, we’d gotten the new king of GPUs, the 5090, and its littler brother, the 5080. The 5090 received a lot of praise and is considered much better than its predecessor, the 4090, despite the absurd price. The 5080 receives question marks due to its significant improvement over the 4080 Super; also, whether it’s worth paying well over a thousand for a card that, despite its performance, only has 16GB VRAM.
However, both cards have gone down noticeably in price, with a few of the 5080 models below MSRP. If you go to Amazon, you’ll see that the MSI Shadow 3X OC version is £979, which is £20 below MSRP. But you could try your nearest retailer, and you’ll probably see that a 5080 might be below MSRP. However, as of right now, we haven’t seen a 5090 below MSRP. Unless you count the PALIT GeForce Gamerock version, which costs £1999.99.
However, if you want to spend less, don’t worry, as the February-released 5070s and 5070 Ti’s are also available at a price below MSRP. You can get an ASUS Prime version for just £499 from Amazon. You can also get a PALIT GeForce Gaming Pro version of the 5070 Ti for just £668, down from its previous price of £728.
However, if you want to go even lower, you can opt for the March releases of the 5060 and 5060 Ti (8GB and 16GB), which have also dropped below MSRP. You can get an ASUS dual OF versions of the 5060 (£266.99) and 5060 ti 8GB (£238.99), and the 5060 ti MSI Shadow 2x for £399, which is the exact MSRP. On top of that, some of these 50 Series GPUs have a deal that includes a free copy of the upcoming Borderlands 4.
Now, it’s clear that the reason why we’re getting such dips in prices is because of the new 50 Series GPUs that are apparently releasing from September 2025. According to leaks, we should be expecting the 5070 super (18GB), 5070 ti super (24GB), and the 5080 super (24GB).
With the 5080 super apparently coming through in Q1 2026. And they are all having impressive MRSP prices. Now, with that being said, think about this and ask yourself if you don’t mind waiting a little longer. The 50 Series GPUs are looking tastier right about now.
