Heaven’s Vault – the sublime sci-fi-tinged archaeological adventure from 80 Days, Sorcery, and Pendragon developer Inkle – will be making its way to Nintendo Switch on 28th January.

Delivered on PC and PlayStation 4 to much praise a year ago, Heaven’s Vault recounts the narrative of Aliya Elasra and her robot partner Six, as they investigate the strange Nebula looking for a missing individual and an old civilization.

Similarly, as with Inkle’s past story-substantial contributions, the genuine superstar is the brilliant writing, inconspicuously reshaping dependent on decisions made all through the experience. Here, however, there’s the additional draw of archeological revelation as players investigate the strikingly planned world, with Heaven’s Vault putting an intriguing spotlight on learning a since quite a while ago failed to remember language – each character in turn – to sort out the spots and relics Aliya experiences on her movements.

“It’s astonishing how well the design team has taken something inherently puzzle and refused to reduce it to a mere puzzle,” wrote Eurogamer’s Christian Donlan in his Recommended review of Heaven’s Vault when it was originally released last year. “Language bucks and fidgets with nuance. The context, as ever, is crucial, and while there are right and wrong answers, the sense of the value of interpretation is never lost.”It is, at that point, another magnificent trip for the consistently solid Inkle, and Switch proprietors will have the option to gradually strip back the layers of Aliya’s set of experiences rich experience when Heaven’s Vault goes to Nintendo’s foundation – with both Joy-Con and touchscreen uphold – right on time one year from now.

It’ll be accessible through the eShop on 28th January, costing £14.99/€15.99/$17.99.
