It looks like the Resident Evil 4 Remake will have the Separate Way DLC out by next week, according to new announcements.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake was one of the most anticipated remakes of the decade. From the second the Resident Evil Remakes started hitting the shelves, beginning in 2019 with the Resident Evil 2 Remake, fans have been calling to see the beloved Resident Evil 4 win all its remade glory. Thanks to the fantastic reception from fans, it was no surprise when DLC hit the game just two weeks after the initial release in the form of The Mercenaries, a PVE mode that allows the player to battle their way through a Horde Mode as different characters with a variety of weapons and abilities at their disposal.

While being a very fun DLC that many fans were expecting, as most Resident Evil games include some form of Mercenaries mode, it was not the content most fans were expecting and truly excited for. This was instead Separate Ways. In the original Resident Evil 4, the player had the opportunity to replay many sections of the game as Ada, assisting Leon as he worked tirelessly to get Ashley and escape the Las Plagas. This was one of the most well-loved and exciting elements of Resident Evil 4 as it added a unique feature hardly seen at the time of release.

With the addition of seven new achievements with details hidden behind random numbers and letters, rumours started to fly about if this could be Capcom readying themselves to release separate ways. It would appear that the fans were right, as it was announced today that Separate Ways will be coming to the Resident Evil 4 Remake, with the trailer and more details being released on September 18th.

From the looks of photos that have already been made public, it appears that the DLC will include some never before seen elements of the story. Screenshots include one of Ada holding a gun to Luis, seemingly as a threat or interrogation. We already know the pair have knowledge of each other and are even seen talking during the events of Leon’s story, so it makes sense that fans would get to see more of their interaction as they both work towards their separate but briefly aligning goals.

There is also a lot of hope that some of the moments of the original games that were missing from the remake will be included in Separate Ways. A key example of this is the second Verdugo fight, although there has been no evidence towards this as of yet.

A second announcement followed only an hour after the first detailing an update to The Mercenaries will be released on the same day as the Separate Ways DLC. In the original announcement for Separate Ways, there was no release date given; however, the Mercenaries update is said to be coming out on September 21st. Could this mean that the Separate Ways DLC will be coming to fans in just 1 week?
