Tactical Adventure Title, Oaken, Out Now On Steam Early Access

See what is like to live in the tree of life in Oaken.

In the world of spirits, many creatures exist. All of these creatures in Oaken cohabitate in the Great Oak. While they may not all know each other, they all hear the voice known as the Oak Song. Somehow, this voice has been silenced. And as a result, chaos is slowly spreading through the branches of the large tree. Will you participate in a series of events that bring the voice back? Or will the spirit world lose that voice forever?

From Laki Studios comes a roguelike turn-based adventure. Battle with the right cards to assure your victory through deck management. Explore a mystical world inspired by the style of Celtic and tribal legend. Every map’s levels, bosses, and events are randomly generated. You’ll never see the same map twice.

Battles take place on a hexagonal grid, forcing players to think ahead of time. Position your spirits in the right spot and ensure the next turn ends well for them. If you are struggling with spells, upgrade them to enhance their effects. Additionally, Oaken offers players a casual mode to simply enjoy what the game has to offer. Or, if you prefer, there is a challenge mode to test your mettle.

Oaken is available now on Steam at a 15% discount for $15.29 until May 10th. It will then return to the price of $17.99. A demo is available for those interested in checking the game out before buying. As the title is Early Access, it is in an unfinished state. The title will also be available for Nintendo Switch at a later date.
