The new content is still far from an easy-to-use feature, but it will ease your fears of losing your island.

With some major new additions and features coming to the game this week on 30th July, the Wave 2 Summer Update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been revealed. Dream Suite, island backups, and fireworks are included in this update. The new weekly fireworks show will take place at 7 PM every Sunday through August, with a fireworks festival that lets you shoot your little rockets up into the sky.

This week, the second update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is launching. It will bring the ability to visit other islands through dreams, some limited but welcome backup support, and a new festive fireworks event during August. These fireworks can have custom-designed patterns that you’ve made. Redd will also be coming back on shore and appear in the plaza to sell items in Redd’s Raffle.

In addition, there will be much requested and anticipated Dream Suite, another returning feature that was last seen in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. You can go to sleep in a bed in your home, at which point a character is called Luna. She will let you visit the dream islands of other players and let you share your island with a Dream Address.

Finally, there’s the restoration and restoration service. Though the game does not work with Nintendo Switch Online’s system transfer infrastructure and traditional cloud saves, it will let you now back up your island in case your Switch is broken or lost.

To use this feature, you will need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. If your Switch is stolen, damaged, or lost, you can contact Nintendo Consumer Support, and a representative will be able to restore the island and save data to a new or repaired Switch.

The rest of this second summer update is more straightforward. It will present another firecracker show occasion, which will happen each Sunday at 7 PM all through August. New Horizons will be available as soon as July 30th; Jack’s teaser keeps the excitement going well into the fall season.
