Animal Crossing: New Horizons Is Now Available On Nintendo Switch, With Patch Notes To Follow Shortly

On Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing: New Horizons version 1.11.1 is currently available. Unfortunately, we have no idea what to expect because Nintendo has yet to provide patch notes on its website.

When the patch notes become available, this post will be updated. Nintendo usually announces any type of content update ahead of time, so the update will most likely focus on bug repairs. Over the previous few months, fans have been hoping for any sort of significant expansion, but there haven’t been many new things to do in the game.

Nintendo has stated that a major upgrade will be released this year, but that won’t help anyone in the interim! Since its debut last year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a huge hit for Nintendo. The game has now sold 33.89 million copies, cementing its position as the second-best-selling game on Switch, according to Nintendo’s second-quarter financial highlights. It’s a significant step up from Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which was the best-selling Animal Crossing game before New Horizons. Since 2012, just 12.93 million copies of that title have been sold.

Given the popularity of New Horizons, Nintendo has announced that a substantial content upgrade will be released later this year. The firm certainly wants to keep fans interested in the game and encourage additional people to try it out. Hopefully, the next major update will meet and exceed expectations, as well as delight those who have been waiting for more. A lot of elements from earlier Animal Crossing games, most notably the Roost café and the return of Brewster, would be great additions to New Horizons. As the year draws to a close, it appears that we’ll have a better idea of what to expect shortly!

The game Animal Crossing: New Horizons is only available on Nintendo Switch.
