With 2021 and Season 10 finished and the new year coming in, Apex Legends has moved onto its next event for 2022 and Season 11 in the form of Dark Depths, an event focusing on a new Arenas map and some quick but fruitful Flash Events.
Prime in the event is the new map for Apex’s Arenas mode. This map’s theme takes after Season 11’s new Storm Point map, featuring an enclosed research station meant to study the massive Leviathans. Known as Habitat, this map certainly offers quite the locale to brawl in.
Surrounded by dangerous waters, indifferent Leviathans, and a rushing waterfall that has shaped the battlefield into a slippery and high-motion cluster of cover and danger, Habitat will certainly make for an interesting Arenas experience.
Habitat is not the only thing that Dark Depths holds for Apex this Event, as there are also Flash Events and new cosmetics to attend to.
The Dark Depths Flash Events feature week-long mini-quests, which can reward players with skins, Apex Packs, and Holosprays, among other things. It also introduces the Dark Depths Packs, which are special Packs that always give players a non-duplicate limited event item, to ensure that players at least get one of the special cosmetics from the event. Legends getting Legendary tier skins this swing around are Ash, Horizon, Lifeline, and Fuse.
