Microsoft has given information about the backward compatibility of its upcoming console, Xbox Series S. Xbox Series S is going to have the games of the original Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One S. Next-gen console will give us a better experience of these games.

Digital Foundry’s Richard Leadbetter talked to Microsoft. They said that Microsoft’s Xbox Series S will offer “1440P for OG Xbox and enhanced 360 titles, 2x performance on select one S titles, and more”.

Xbox games are going to feature a 3x boost to resolution on both axes. It means that games that were targeting 480p on the original are going to hit a maximum of 1440p on Series S. Xbox 360 games will also be enhanced. It will run at native 720p up to 1440p.

Unfortunately, the Xbox Series S won’t feature games with Xbox One X enhancements. But it is promising to add another benefit. Xbox 360 games will get improved Zen 2 CPU architecture. Games will load faster than the previous consoles with solid storage.

Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X will launch on November 10, 2020, costing $299 and $499.
