Rocksteady Studios has delivered a minor update for Batman: Arkham City, fixing it to version 1.03. This seems to manage some PS5 compatibility issues.

Very much like a portion of the regressive viable games, including Joe’s Diner and Dynasty Warriors 8, Batman: Arkham City was refreshed to add support for PS5. The fix notes don’t expressly refer to what issues were happening on the PS5 that constrained the developers to deliver this update, yet it doesn’t seem to manage to upgrade the game with PS5 support.

Concerning the subtleties on what is fixed, the lone thing that has been fixed with this update is an uncommon bug that was influencing the game when running on the PS5.

Batman Arkham City Update 1.03 Patch Notes

  1. Fixes compatibility with PlayStation®5

As should be obvious, the game was delivering at a lower resolution on the PS5. This was because of a bug that prompted the resolution to drop from 1080p on the PS4 and PS4 Pro to dynamic sub-1080p on the PS5. Accordingly, the game looked blurrier, and to finish it off, it was still capped at 30 FPS on the PS5.

The new fix ought to have settled the issue with the resolution getting downsized on the PS5; however, don’t anticipate seeing the game running at a higher frame rate with this fix.

Batman: Arkham City was delivered on the PS4 as a component of a Batman: Arkham Collection that included the initial two games in the series, which were remastered for a higher resolution and textures. It was likewise conceivable to play the game at a higher frame rate if you chose to eliminate any of the post-dispatch updates or possessed an actual physical copy of the game.
