As we know, Battlefield 6 will be out in 2010, and the only thing that is now on everyone’s minds is, what exactly will be the theme of the upcoming Battlefield game. It is more than likely that DICE has ditched the historical approach, and might have decided to go for a fictional setting. Rumour has it, that Battlefield 6 might be set in World War 3.
This is coming from a report from TheGamingBible’s Ewan Moore, who stated that in a post from Reddit, William_Fichtner claims that Battlefield 6 will feature a NATO vs. Russia conflict in the next World War. Also, as a part of the campaign, War Stories will return and “will track several soldiers from different countries as the war rages in every corner of the world”
Keep in mind that this is only a rumor, and neither DICE nor EA have yet to confirm this. What the setting may be, hopefully when the game arrives, it doesn’t look rushed and incomplete like Battlefield 5.
