Battlefield 6 Season 2 is finally here, and the first thing you are probably doing after dropping into the new update is checking what the battle pass is offering this time around. With every new season, the grind resets, the unlock path opens up again, and you get that familiar mix of skins, weapon packages, cosmetics, boosters, and the occasional piece of real gameplay content you actually care about.

Season 2 of Battlefield 6 leans hard into an overall toxic theme, and you can feel that vibe right away in the cosmetics, the naming, and the general look of the rewards. The battle pass also gives you options depending on how you want to approach it, because you can either stick with the standard track or upgrade to Battlefield Pro to get extra perks and jump ahead instantly.

If you choose to upgrade to the Battlefield Pro version of the battle pass, you get a chunk of rewards immediately. The big thing is that you get 20 tiers unlocked right away, which basically puts you ahead of the early grind.

On top of that, you get exclusive Battlefield Pro unlocks and some instant rewards that are tied to the upgrade. You also have the bonus path available, but the main point is that you can immediately start your season with actual gear in your inventory instead of waiting to earn it over time.

The Battlefield Pro instant unlocks include a Task Force Vector skin for Lang, and you also get the CBRN Task Force Vector skin.

Alongside those, you pick up a new engineer skin, specifically a hazmat variant, which obviously fits the season’s toxic theme. You also receive a brand new weapon package for the GRT CPS DMR. This one matters because it is not just another cosmetic that you forget about five minutes later.

The DMR was the weapon that stood out during early Season 2 gameplay, and the reason is simple: it feels crazy strong. You can spam it, it has very little recoil, and it looks like something you will actually want to use rather than stash away. The blueprint you get with the package looks decent, too, and overall, it fits right into Season 2’s theme.

From there, you also get a 30-minute career XP booster and a 30-minute hardware XP booster, which are there to push you through progression faster. Then you start moving into more of the standard battle pass rewards, where you see the Enshrouded Coyote Squad support skin show up.

You also get a weapon package for the KTS100, one of the better options in the game, and this time it comes with a black-and-orange look called Midnight Thunder. Season 2 really pushes those darker tones, with orange accents appearing often, especially early.

You also unlock a player card background called Ramming Speed and a sledgehammer melee skin that sticks to the black-and-orange theme. After that, you pick up more boosters again, but these are 60-minute career and hardware XP boosters instead of the 30-minute versions.

Right at the start, you can also see the recruit tiers.

This is where the battle pass starts giving you a few basic but useful things early. You get a new player card icon called Vulpes Squared and a weapon package for the M433 called Twilight Storm. That one is more standard and not as flashy, but it is there.

You also get 100 Battlefield coins early, and then you unlock a Recon skin called Dusk Ranger, which has a darker blue look compared to the toxic greens and oranges you have been seeing. You also get a new gadget pretty early on: the 9K38 Igla launcher.

After that, the Battle Pass for Season 2 really opens up and lets you go into the different sectors and unlock things at your own pace. The sectors include Death Stalkers, Hazardous Fronts, Steel Talon, and Woodland Rangers.

Once you finish those, you move on to the Ultimate sector and then the Prestige path. The structure matters because you are not locked into one straight line the whole time. You can prioritize the sector that looks best to you and chase the rewards you actually want.

In Death Stalkers, you are dealing with a lot of military camo, skull motifs, and some orange highlights. You start off with the UMG40 Death Rattle weapon package, and it has a skull on it. You also get a Traverser Mark 2 vehicle skin called Rough Shot. You keep seeing Battlefield coins pop up in the reward pool, too, so you are picking those up along the way. You get a weapon package for the M250 called Mortise, which looks like a more standard military camo.

You also unlock an AJ skin called Forest Survivalist, which leans greener than many of the earlier black-and-orange cosmetics. You then pick up a uniform patch called Killshot, plus a 30-minute career XP booster.

There is also the M44 Death Clinch weapon package, another 30-minute hardware XP booster, and then a Glider 96 vehicle skin called Rapid Decay that stands out more than some of the other vehicle skins in the sector. You also unlock Jensen as a character in that Death Stalkers track.

The next page in Death Stalkers keeps the momentum going.

You get 100 Battlefield coins again, then a weapon package for the SG553R called Necrosis. It stays in the same visual zone of military green, with a bit of orange and a skull element, so it fits the sector’s identity.

Then you get the base version of the new DMR, the GRT CPS. This is the first access point for that new weapon if you are not using the Battlefield Pro version of the battle pass, so it is a major unlock for the standard track.

You also get a 15-minute battle pass XP booster, which is there to help you move through the tiers a bit faster. After that, you pick up a jet skin called Carry-On King, a weapon charm called Sporeshot, and an operator skin called Woodland Militia, which is a more basic cosmetic compared to the others.

You also unlock another weapon package for the GRT CPS called Hinterland Headsman, which adds a more leafy theme to the DMR’s look. You get a vehicle decal called Decomposition, a free L85 A3 weapon package called Shadow Stalker with an interesting camo, and then you get the Desert Locust Spore Shield support skin to close out that portion of the sector.

Hazardous Fronts takes the toxic idea and pushes it harder.

You get a weapon charm called Death Mask, more Battlefield coins, and a gadget skin for the SLM93A Spire called Incubation Period. You also unlock a DB12 weapon package called Contagion, and it stands out because it has a camo pattern that actually looks cool instead of feeling like filler.

You get a player card sticker called Contaminated, then a free Engineer skin called Toxicity of Our City. After that, you get the Bad Chemist vehicle skin, which is extremely bright green and hard to miss. You also unlock a Biohazard weapon sticker, then a free USG90 weapon package called Side Effects, which leans into a yellowish tan look. You also pick up a uniform patch called Hazardous Materials and a character kit tied to Task Force Vector.

The second page of Hazardous Fronts adds a QBZ weapon package called Poison Salvo, which uses a green-and-blue digital camo. You get more Battlefield coins again, then a free weapon charm called Boom, and it is basically just a rocket.

You also unlock a skin with a gas mask look, which fits perfectly with the season’s theme. There is an SL9 weapon package called Blight Strike, and since it is one of your favorite guns, seeing it get a themed package is a nice touch, even if the look is just okay.

You also get a free player card background called Molten Fury and a knife melee skin called Variant Slice, which is essentially a green camo variant. Then, you unlock a Hilo skin called Miasma, even if you might mispronounce it, and it uses a gray-and-orange look.

You then get an SOR 556 MK2 weapon package called Toxic Force, a free gadget called the HTI Mark 2 as a counterplay option, and a Recon skin called Exclusion Zone to wrap up the Hazardous Fronts track. Steel Talon shifts away from toxic greens and into a blue-heavy theme, resulting in one of the cleanest-looking sets in the pass. You start with a Nighthawk vehicle skin that uses white, gray, and blue.

You also get a parachute skin called Steel Rain.

Then you pick up a free PD5 AW MP5 weapon package called Keen Edge, and the blue theme really works here. You also unlock a support skin called Twilight Threshold, more Battlefield coins, and a player card title called Stainless.

You get a sledgehammer melee skin called Galvanic Maul, a vehicle decal called Steel, and then a weapon package for the M1014 called Steel Punch, which looks especially clean. You also get a 60-minute career XP booster and unlock Atlas with a Task Force Vector character setup.

The second page of Steel Talon brings in the TR7 weapon package called Midnight Surge, plus a gadget skin for the RV2 called Metallic Knight. You get a free support skin called Tempered Bulwark, then a tank skin called Armored Dawn in that same blue theme.

You also unlock an M121 A2 weapon package called Sundown Salvo, and then you get the base M121 A2 itself as a free tier, which is the new LMG for Season 2. When you play early with it, it feels pretty good, especially for mid-range fights, so it is another actual gameplay unlock that you can chase.

You also get 100 Battlefield coins, a player card background called Strength in Steel, an M60 weapon package called Alloyed Assault, and a player card icon called Forged Wings. Then you finish that track with the Steel Vulture recon skin, which is one of the standouts because it just looks good enough that you might actually switch your Recon look going forward.

Woodland Rangers shifts into earthy camos and outdoorsy themes.

You start with a 30-minute career XP booster, then a weapon sticker called Private Land, and a free M123K weapon package called Corpse Cutter, which is mostly brown camo. You also get a player card sticker called Bear Country, more Battlefield coins, and a Hilo skin called Cottonwood with a black-and-gold or bronze kind of look.

You also unlock a free 30-minute battle pass XP booster, a new weapon charm, and a weapon package for the M20 M277 called Wield Warrior, or Weld Warrior depending on how you read it. You also get a uniform patch called Steel Flight and an assault skin called Brush Hunter.

On the second page of Woodland Rangers, you unlock a vehicle skin called Sycamore, which mixes brown, black, and a bit of bronze. You get more Battlefield coins again, then a free Campbell skin called Trespasser.

You also unlock a KV9 weapon package called Piercing Thicket, plus a new player card background. You then get the SB98 weapon package called Silent Woodsman, and it looks like a toned-down version of a mastery camo.

Battlefield 6, Battlefield Pro, Season 2, Battle Pass, REDSEC, EA, DICE, GRT CPS DMR, Death Stalkers, Hazardous Fronts, Steel Talon, Woodland Rangers, News, GamesCreed

You also get a tank skin called Conifer, a DB12 weapon package called Undergrowth, and an assault skin called Backwoods Battler, which looks like a green, militarized set. You also get a parachute camo called Autumn Canopy, and then you unlock the VCR2 assault rifle as a free reward, which is the new bullpup rifle for Season 2 in Battlefield 6.

Once you clear the sectors, you reach the Ultimate sector.

This includes a weapon charm called Masked Up, a Little Bird vehicle skin called Downdraft that uses bright red, orange, and yellow, and a 60-minute hardware XP booster. You also unlock a weapon package for the VCR2, a GGH22 weapon package called Wood Cutter, a 30-minute career XP booster, and then an assault skin called Fall Ranger.

Finally, you wrap everything up with the Prestige path, and a lot of it is free. You get a player card title called Danger Zone, a new weapon sticker, career XP boosters, a vehicle decal, hardware XP boosters, and a free SOR 300C weapon package.

You also get a new player card background and, at the very end, 200 Battlefield coins in the Prestige tier. By the time you reach that point, you have worked through a lot, and the pass ends up feeling packed across its sectors, even if not every reward is going to matter to you personally.

If you are chasing the best-looking cosmetics, the blue Steel Talon set is probably where your eyes keep going back, but if you care about gameplay unlocks, you are also looking at the GRT CPS DMR, the M121 A2 LMG, and the VCR2 bullpup rifle as the main things you will want to grab and start experimenting with right away.
