Todd Howard is still aware of the Indiana Jones game and tells people to wait for the next year.

Starfield is currently stealing the show due to its wide popularity. There is also the factor that the game was in the works for almost four years, and it was Bethesda’s next big IP to work on. Nevertheless, despite the long development time, it is here, andit seems like Bethesda did well, at least in their own terms. Meanwhile, almost all of Bethesda is focused on bug fixes and maybe some DLC for Starfield, there are a few people who still wonder about the upcoming Indiana Jones game from the game giant.

In 2021, Bethesda announced that they were working on a new Indiana Jones game, and it was mainly handled by Wolfenstein’s developer, MachineGames. The HD era of Wolfenstein was critically acclaimed due to MachineGames’ overall quality in making those, so we can expect a well-polished Indiana Jones game from them, but sadly, we are still not sure when it will drop. In a recent interview with Todd Howard, the head of Bethesda, the question of the upcoming Indiana Jones title was forwarded to hi,m and he answered in a very vague way.

First, it was about when we could see Indiana on our screens, and Howard stated that they are preparing a reveal for the next year. The second question was about how the gameplay would unfold, and, in a smooth manner, Howard answered that it’s about Indiana Jones; it is all about exploring and trying to be him. As for the release date, there was nothing to be revealed except a faint “We’ll talk about it next year.”

As anyone could guess, this does not entirely cover the full answer. It is still too vague, and since it is going to be the fourth anniversary of Indiana Jones’ game reveal, we might get it. But at the same time, the delays happen, and we could see a 2025 release instead. The planned 2024 reveal might just be a showcase of the actual release date of the game, too.

Since its debut, there has been nothing to talk about this mysterious title besides which platforms it is going to get released on, and a basic trailer that showcases what awaits us. There is no story, no plot to go after. Still, this does not stop people from wondering and excitedly waiting for their favorite movie character to be in the gaming world for another time. We shall wait and see what sort of adventures await us in the world of Indiana Jones.
