To stretch the Dragon Age series, BioWare has revealed its next big adventure called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

The name of BioWare’s next game has been revealed. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the next adventure in Thedas, has been official. The Dreadwolf is a nod to Solas, the protagonist of the series. Solas, a magical party member and possible love interest in Dragon Age: Inquisition, without getting into spoilers. BioWare provides a few more tidbits about Solas’ backstory in an official blog.

So, who is this dread Wolf we keep hearing about? The Dread Wolf, Solas, is here. Speculation suggests he’s descended from an old elf deity, although many deny this. Those who believe him to be a traitor… or a hero who is willing to sacrifice all to save them. His actions have earned him the moniker “trickster god,” a person who engages in risky and dangerous games with the world’s fate at stake.

Whatever your level of familiarity with Dragon Age tales, the use of Solas’s name indicates a wide range of possible outcomes. Dragon Age newbies needn’t fret about not having encountered our main villain yet. However, it was hinted back in 2018, when we unveiled #TheDreadWolfRise, that he would be making a comeback.

BioWare will release more Dragon Age: Dreadwolf content later this year, and our queries will be addressed in due time. Even though the game won’t be out until next year, we’re getting closer to the next one. We may be confident that Solas is currently putting his pieces in place.

That’s all we’ve got for the time being, but stay tuned to GamesCreed’s gaming news section later this year when we discuss the game more. What do you make of the hashtag #Dreadwolf?
