Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 officially arrives next week, and we’re getting more and more information on the upcoming game. Before we head on, we thought you should know that it’s now confirmed via CharlieINTEL’s X account that you can preload the campaign and multiplayer packs of the PS4 and PS5 versions of Black Ops 6 on October 21, 2024.
You could already preload the Xbox and PC Game Pass versions, and it’s now confirmed that you can preload Steam on the same day, October 21. However, speaking of CharlieINTEL, a few days ago, he uploaded a very short video that’s very interesting. This video was about a new mechanic coming to Black Ops 6, and it’s one that you might want to know about beforehand.
Do you enjoy throwing knives, but have you ever wanted to take it to the next level and actually control where the knife you’ve thrown lands? If so, then you’ve finally gotten your wish. Apparently, there’s a new weapon that allows you to do that. The name is called the ‘homing knife’.
In the video, Raven Software’s Associate Creating director, Jon Zuk, briefly explains the new homing knife mechanic. He says that with this knife, you can charge it up, throw it, steer it around for a little bit, and then make sure to either land it in an enemy or near it because the homage knife can also explode.
He emphasizes that this knife is very useful, especially against enemies that are hiding behind the cover. However, this weapon is apparently only available in campaign mode. As for multiplayer, it’s not really confirmed, but don’t write it off just yet. We have until Black Ops 6 arrives in just under a week to find out. Anyway, this is an incredible addition to the game.
