As expected, the next Call of Duty title belongs to Treyarch, and it’s called Black Ops 7.
As expected, Black Ops 7 will be the next Call of Duty title and obviously it’ll be by Treyarch. It was announced at the highly anticipated Xbox Showcase. It showed an abundance of brilliant games that’ll arrive, and one of those games so happens to be Black Ops 7. Now, because Infinity Ward had two consecutive years of Call of Duty (MWII and MWIII, it’s someone else’s turn to do the same. But this year’s Call of Duty is different to the current Black Ops 6 game.
In the Xbox Showcase they revealed the Black Ops 7 trailer and not only did it look good, but it highlights the reason why the next Call of Duty has changed. The main reason is because it’s set in the future. That’s right, Black Op 7 won’t be in the 90s like the current game, but it’ll be in the year of 2035. The last Treyarch or any Call of Duty title that was set in the future was 2018’s Black Ops. This trailer showed glimpses of content from the campaign, multiplayer and zombies.
The campaign tells a story after the events of this year’s Black Ops 6 and the 2012’s iconic Black Ops 2. And the leading protagonist is none other than David Mason, who makes his grand return to the franchise. For Black Ops 7’s multiplayer, seeing as the story takes place ten years from now, you’ll get to enjoy near future weaponry.
Moreover, with the newly introduced Omnimovement which made its debut into the franchise with Black Ops 6, along with possibly other new gameplay features and mechanics. As for the zombies, sticks with round based gameplay and a new chapter of the heart of the Dark Aether.
Another thing to prepare for is a total gameplay reveal for Black Ops 7 this summer. And history will tell us that it will happen at in either July or August. Just like the Modern Warfare 4 for 2026 rumour, we’re now getting confirmation and reveal of Black Ops 7, and these are exciting times ahead.
