Black Ops 7’s reveal just happened, and there’s a problem, a big problem.
Black Ops 7 has just released their reveal, and guess what? Nobody cares—no hype, no excitement, nothing. People have seemingly and finally had enough, and it’s about time. Black Ops 7 has just showcased their just over two-minute video on their respective socials. The footage involved some gameplay, and apparently, they’ve released this video a week earlier than they stated.
However, as expected, most people are not impressed with the trailer and the franchise overall, and it’s largely down to the disaster class known as Black Ops 6. Actually, if you want to go even deeper, we could argue that it’s the quality of recent Call of Duty titles. Although MWIII’s multiplayer was good, the game overall was a mess. From their perspective, Black Ops 7’s reveal didn’t show anything exciting or worth playing.
This is a bad time for Call of Duty, seeing as although our impressions of Battlefield 6’s beta aren’t very positive, it’s fair to say that most fans loved it and are very excited for its release. This might spell trouble for Call to Duty, and maybe this is the kick up the pants they need to finally do better. But then again, this is Call of Duty we’re talking about here; we shouldn’t hold our breath.
Black Ops 7 is scheduled to release a month after Battlefield 6. To be precise, for anyone interested, November 14, 2025, is when you can get your hands on the game. It’s set in the future of the year 2035, which is ten years after the events of 2012’s Black Ops II. So, of course, the multiplayer will also be in that setting.
By the way, it’s been confirmed that there’ll be no jet packs. Simply boots on the ground warfare. However, there might be wall running, which is another thing that has turned a lot of fans off. In other news, another FPS shooter, Delta Force, is now available on consoles – current gen that is.
