As we head into a new era of Call of Duty with Black Ops 7, here are some details for you to know.
Black Ops 7 arrives just next week, and you’ve already gotten some news regarding the upcoming Call of Duty title, but surely there’s more right now, right? Indeed, there are a few more details for you to be aware of. There will be a whopping 30+ maps to play.
Twenty of them will be available at launch, and the rest will be included in the Season 1 DLC, including those from the holiday theme versions of Sleighjacked, Hijack, and more. The Ashes of the Damned Main Quest will be unlocked on release day.
Regardless of what Black Ops 7 edition you’ve gotten, there won’t be any early access. According to Activision, there’s no change to the release date; as of now, everything’s set to proceed. As for you, Xbox Game Pass members, yes, you’ll also get Black Ops 7 on release day for both the Xbox and PC versions. That’s, of course, if you’re still a member after the wild price increase of the service just recently.
We’re hoping that Black Ops 7 is an improvement over the beta, as it was well received; however, we felt that a few changes would be necessary. The biggest change of all is the exclusion or minimization of the controversial Skill-Based Matchmaking, which has been the biggest talking point for years. Well, technically, it’s not fully removed.
However, there are game modes where skill isn’t considered as meaty as much. Basically, bringing back the Call of Duty from the old days, and that’s what’s gotten many from the Call of Duty community hugely excited for Black Ops 7. Some say that doing this has saved Call of Duty. Remember, next week, on November 14, is when you can get your hands on Black Ops 7, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out.
