Borderlands 4 reveals the official specifications sheet for PC, and fans are a little worried.
Borderlands 4 is literally releasing in a couple of days, and we’ve finally gotten the PC specifications for the upcoming title. No more speculations, no more leaks, this is official now. However, there’s just one problem: some players are not happy. For a little while now, it was said that Borderlands 4 will be quite a demanding title; they just hoped that it wouldn’t come true.
It’s even more worrisome for some people because some feel that even the ‘minimum’ specs require a more powerful rig than usual. On top of that, the storage space is insane, for both the ‘minimum’ and ‘recommended’.
Whilst some are not too happy with the specifications sheet, there are others who have accepted their fate. Meanwhile, others are fine with it as they believe that the time has come for such specifications to arrive.
Here are the official Borderlands 4 specs for PC.
Minimum:
- Operating System: Windows 10 | Windows 11
- Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 | AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT | Intel Arc A580
- Storage: 100 GB
Recommended:
- Operating System: Windows 10 | Windows 11
- Processor: Intel Core i7-12700 | AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- Memory: 32GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 | AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT | Intel Arc B580
- Storage: 100 GB
The official Borderlands 4 Twitter account confirmed that you need at least an 8-core CPU to achieve even decent performance. Which, if you think about it, is a little crazy.
On the other hand, you could argue that some of the 6-core variants, like the Ryzen 5 5600, could handle Borderlands 4 well, because it’s objectively more powerful than the minimum required CPU, despite having two fewer cores. Moreover, they haven’t really confirmed if these specs are specifically for 1080p, 1440p, and 4K.
