Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion rejected a Call of Duty deal.
Call of Duty is making headlines again, but for a reason many people would not expect. Hot female rapper, Megan Pete, aka Megan Thee Stallion, was allegedly approached by Activision/Call of Duty to add her as a playable character for their game, just like they had done for fellow rappers such as Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage.
The exact Call of Duty game was not clarified.
But very likely Black Ops 7. However, according to Roc Nation’s Daniel Kinney, the know-how of the situation is given. He said that Meg immediately rejected Call of Duty’s offer because she realised that she would be a shootable character. As soon as she heard of this, she said, “I’m not doing this”.
As it would have likely traumatised her even more. Her rejection of the deal is highly likely linked to the 2020 shooting incident between her, fellow artist Tory Lanez, and a friend, leading to Lanez serving a 10-year prison sentence.
Moreover, the internet would likely have trolled her far more about the incident had Call of Duty made her a skin. It is bad enough that she is already being abused online, and the internet already makes fun of the situation; she did not want the game to amplify the situation by becoming more of a meme.
However, it is not just Call of Duty that has gotten snubbed by Meg, says Kinney.
He also explained that Google Pixel, Uber Eats Takeaway, and Women’s Soccer Federation all got the thumbs down. But this does not make much sense, because around 4 years ago, she herself suggested to Call of Duty in a tweet that they create a “hot girl skin,” which refers to herself at times, which was after the shooting, which makes no sense as to why she would make such a U-turn on this. Regardless, it is probably for the best that this skin does not happen.
