In our current time, VR has become a staple of the gaming industry. Cards and Tankards takes it even further than simple social interaction. Sure, it’s fun to have a chat now and then in a social space. But who doesn’t love having a few drinks and playing some card games with others?
Previously, the game came with 3 factions. But upon full release, there will be four available to choose from. Each faction will come with unique traits and abilities exclusive to it. Players can customize their decks with more than 160 cards available to them.
Your characters/cards will come to life, similar to the avatars from the Dejarik Board from a certain famous movie. And who doesn’t love the idea of a tabletop coming to life before their eyes? Many people will soon realize a childhood dream they’ve all had.
The game, according to developers, will be updated every few months for players, absolutely free of charge.
Cards and Tankards is currently available in an Early Access state on SteamVR and Meta Quest through the App Lab. Current and new players can expect the full release of the title sometime this October.
