Humanoid Studios is developing a new IP.

An independent game developer, Casey Hudson, is offering artistry and innovation to players through a brand-new IP by creating his new platform. He wishes to “unleash the creative freedom of developers.” They are also recruiting for a number of senior positions according to the studio’s website. Hudson, the former Mass Effect producer, declared the existence of Humanoid Studios on his Twitter. Not more than a year ago, he declared his retirement from BioWare and now shared information about his latest project.

Today we are announcing a new independent videogame company built to unleash the creative freedom of developers – bringing innovation and artistry to players through an all-new IP.

Games like Neverwinter Nights, Baldur’s Gate, and Dragon Age were created by Chad Robertson and James Ohlen. Their studio, Wizards of the Coast, declared that it was working with Archetype Entertainment at the dawn of 2020. They were keen to create a new sci-fi RPG franchise.

So, needless to say that a few BioWare Developers struck out on their own. Hudson isn’t the special one. He served as the creative director of the main Mass Effect trilogy after being both a director and producer on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In 2017, He took over BioWare as a general manager. Not only that, but He left Mass Effect studio to join Microsoft, then also ditched it.  Spanning two stints, Hudson worked at BioWare for more than 15 years. Amazing, right?

Not so earlier he left the developer position again. He gave his reasons. He did it to “make way for the next generation of studio leaders.”
