Darkest Dungeon II Expands on PlayStation with Kingdoms Mode and Inhuman Bondage DLC.

Red Hook Studios has officially released the highly anticipated Kingdoms mode for Darkest Dungeon II on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This free game mode introduces a restructured gameplay experience, tasking players with defending a vast realm and a network of inns against fierce new enemy factions.

Accompanying this release is the first of three planned adventure modules, Hunger of the Beast Clan, which sets the stage for a deeper and more intense strategic journey. Fans can also dive into Inhuman Bondage, a paid DLC that adds even more depth to the game with new regions, mechanics, and the return of a beloved character.

Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch players can look forward to these additions soon. To mark the occasion, Darkest Dungeon II is available at a 33% discount on PlayStation until March 26, 2025, while Inhuman Bondage enjoys a 10% launch discount. Kingdoms Mode and Inhuman Bondage Bring Fresh Challenges. Kingdoms Mode shifts away from the traditional Confessions mode structure, immersing players in a strategic battle to protect their domain from ruthless foes, including the savage beast.

This free mode is set to expand further in 2025 with two additional adventure modules featuring even more enemy factions. Meanwhile, Inhuman Bondage enriches the Darkest Dungeon II experience with The Catacombs, a treacherous mini-region filled with deadly new threats. Players can also welcome the return of The Abomination, a fan-favorite hero who is making his debut with unique abilities, trinkets, weapon kits, and a fully voiced origin story complete with playable flashback encounters.

The underground labyrinth of The Catacombs offers a high-risk, high-reward setting filled with powerful new items and enemies that will challenge even the most seasoned adventurers. Darkest Dungeon II is currently available on PC as well as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The Kingdoms mode and Inhuman Bondage DLC first launched on PC and Mac on January 27, 2025. As the game continues to evolve, players can expect more content and challenges ahead.
