Days Gone Remastered has been upgraded in audio, visuals, and performance to make it even better.
Introduced for the PlayStation 5 in April 2025, the remastered version of Days Gone enhances visuals and lighting to better fit the current hardware. Upgrades notwithstanding, Days Gone Remastered still had technical problems. The Bend Studio developers have been actively solving issues; the most recent patch includes its most recent set of game enhancements.
A new update for Days Gone Remastered from Bend Studio adds several performance, audio, and visual enhancements meant to improve the general gaming experience. Originally a PlayStation 4 exclusive, Days Gone debuted in 2019 with survival horror features set against a post-apocalyptic open-world exploration. Like its enhanced Days Gone Remastered edition, the game follows Deacon St. John, a former bandit turned bounty hunter, as he traverses the perilous Pacific Northwest invaded by creatures known as Freakers.
Though there aren’t many problems in Days Gone Remastered, the May 2025 patch tackles one of the main complaints regarding graphics and performance. Both PS5 and PS5 Pro provide 40 FPS gaming with the inclusion of the new Balanced visual mode. On PS5, the game runs at 1800p resolution under this mode; the Pro version uses PSSR technology to provide complete 4K output. This guarantees reasonable smoothness with better visual quality. Variable Refresh Rate, or VRR, is also activated, letting 120 Hz display users fully benefit from the feature.
Moreover, other graphical enhancements are changes to performance mode, which still offers 60 frames per second for those who need a smoother ride. Apart from visual improvements, the update alters Days Gone Remastered’s soundscape in various ways. Apart from focused changes to conversation loudness, enemy weapons, and Freakers, the general mix has been improved to accentuate the intensity of the foes in Days Gone Remastered.

Apart from graphical performance, the creators have also made some significant, more generic quality-of-life enhancements. The upgrade features improved streaming optimizations, quicker load times, and lower input latency across all visual settings.
The map has also been improved in certain ways, including a problem fix that caused the screen to become too dark upon map leave. It is no longer limited to 30 FPS and offers a more flowing experience. Slight changes have also been made to Days Gone Remastered’s Horde Assault mode.
Finally, this patch corrects the function for people who like to utilize the Motion Sensor Function Aiming, sometimes referred to as gyro aiming. The remaster is the greatest way to enjoy this incredibly rich open world, given the Days Gone sequel’s cancellation for the foreseeable future.
