On July 17, Death Come True will reveal its wacky FMV-tinged mystery on PC.

If you are waiting for the PC version of Death Come True then you won’t have to wait that long. Having recently launched on mobile devices and Switch at the end of June, the time-bending FMV mystery from Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka will be coming to PC very soon. Danganronpa is a game about trying to figure out who in your school is a murderer, among many, many other things.

Death Come True is billed as a new-wave interactive movie game. This means that it’s interactive fiction with full live-action movie accompaniment for each scene. Death Come True’s protagonist is a young man named Makoto Karaki, who wakes up in a mysterious hotel room with a news report on TV accusing him of being a serial killer and a tied-up woman. He does not know how he got there and also doesn’t know the woman.

The outcome of his story is up to the player. And there’s going to be a lot of dying along the way. Each death will have the player collect “death medals” based on how they died. So that they can view the outcomes on “DeathTube and are encouraged to collect them all. If you were worried that this would be a Japan-only release then you are wrong. Death Come True will be getting a worldwide release on Steam so that everyone can enjoy it at once.

Death Come True is available now on iOS/Android devices and Nintendo Switch. The PC port will include English language support. A PS4 port is still in the works but is yet to receive a release date. we can assume this will cost $16 on release.
