Demon Turf’s 3D platformer with 2D characters will be getting a physical Switch release by Limited Run Games, announced by Fabraz.

Older games, new physical releases, and limited-run Games have brought many digital-only games. Developer WayForward announced that its next game is called Demon Turf and it’s another platformer. Fabrazz hasn’t left 2D completely behind though it’s 3D this time. The 3D platforming is combined with 2D illustrations, which include Beebz herself.

Demon Turf is a 3D platformer designed using 2D characters in an interesting artistic blend. It promises a humorous world of demons, a physics-based combat system where the main character Beebz can spin, push, and pull enemies around. Playing a thousand-year-old demon named Beebz, you will use magic powers to battle enemies and explore the world.

A leaked video announcing its limited-run physical release was uploaded to YouTube. That video features a brief skit where Beebz calls the game “pretty dope” before her kappa friend Midge says it sucks that there is not a physical release. It does now for Switch but no version of the game has a release date yet.

The trailer also revealed Beebz obtaining a variety of powers to further her quest for dominion. These powers are obtained after defeating the mini-bosses. In the Demon World demons and other baddies are divided into gangs centralized around a powerful leader, but everyone bows to the Demon King who rules over everyone  Fabraz used everything they learned in making Slime-san make Demon Turf the best platformer it can be. we’ll see if their work pays off later when Demon Turf comes.

Demon Turf’s developers confirmed it will be on both Steam and the Epic Game Store. In the meantime, you can get a nice look at some gameplay. Demon Turf will be available on PC, Switch, and Xbox One sometime in 2020 or 2021.
