Need some more juice in your DualSense Controller? The new V2 will get you covered.

When PlayStation 5 arrived, it brought the new controller with it. Named DualSense, it brought more advanced mechanics and better build quality and suited PlayStation 5 very well. It has a slick design, but the main feature lies within the trigger buttons, which have haptic feedback on them. That means the trigger buttons will add feedback depending on the action you are taking, such as pulling the trigger of a gun or pushing the throttle of a car in-game. While the new look and features do add to the profile of DualSense, it has a few drawbacks too.

Since the controller seems to have a lot of moving parts and does make a sound with speakers, it tends to eat through its battery very quickly. Sony states that the DualSense controller can up to have six hours of battery life if it is used frequently. It has been a hindrance, but we haven’t seen people complain about its battery. However, Sony seems to come up with a new version of DualSense that will improve on its lacking parts, starting with the battery of course.

The V2 version of DualSense has appeared in a Canadian Walmart retailer and according to its box images, it will feature twelve hours of battery life instead of six. Along with an improved battery, there is also a charging dock included in the V2, which usually is sold separately. The Canadian Walmart retailer has listed the DualSense controller at 89.99 CAD, the USD price, on the other hand, is not known due to changes in price in different regions.

Sony still hasn’t made an announcement about the DualSense V2, it is probably going to have the same treatment with PlayStation 5 Slim. It appeared in certain retailers before its announcement and a week later, Sony showcased the PlayStation 5 Slim in their own showcase last year.
