Dying Light 2 Has Announced It’s First Free DLC

Dying Light 2 was promised to have content support for years, and we see that content start now.

Developer Techland expressed its commitment to content support for five years throughout Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s development process. In a spectacular turn of events, we are already seeing the reveal of this content.

On Sunday, February 13th, Techland revealed the Authority Pack. The first bit of free DLC added to the game is in the theme of the in-game faction, the Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers themselves walk around in police blue and tend to wield rather large weapons and represent order and protection with a slightly darker undertone. This announcement trailer has that style in spades:

The DLC is split into three parts: Chest piece, joggers, and sneakers. All in that same police/peacekeeper blue. The second part is Headgear, braces, and gloves. The final part of the free DLC is the weapon. The weapon is the most interesting part of this announcement, and everyone is curious as to whether the weapon has any particular in-game benefits.

This DLC also hints at the future for Dying Light 2. There are three factions in Dying Light 2; if we exclude the Peacekeepers, that leaves us with the Renegades and the Survivors. No doubt, the other two factions will get their pack that will fit their style and the ideals of the characters that would join them. There is no news as to when this new DLC will release, and the only information provided by Techland is that “The First one’s arriving soon, so stay tuned.”

Dying Light 2: Stay Human is out right now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
