EA Confirms that a Single-Player Iron Man Title is in Development Right Now

EA stated that the famous studio Motive would, in fact, be working on this Iron Man title.

Marvel Games seems to be working on many projects. We recently heard of a unique project set in the backdrop of WWII, containing both Black Panther and Captain America, but now it seems that Iron Man, too, is seeing their very own project. In an official announcement from EA, we have learned that EA is teaming up with Marvel to bring us a brand new single-player Iron Man title.

Motive, the studio that has brought us both Star Wars Squadrons and the upcoming Dead Space Remake, will be helming the project with various industry veterans attached to the project with credits from Star Wars Battlefront II, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Deus EX: Mankind Divided, and more.

The announcement states that: “In collaboration with Marvel Games, the game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of Iron Man, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark “It further states that the game will enable “Players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man”.

What this may mean in terms of gameplay is purely speculation. The announcement states it is a ‘Third-Person action-adventure game,” and one can infer that flight will be one of the core elements of Iron Man and the possibility of an open-world single-player title in a similar vein to Spider-Man PS4.

With Iron Man, the potential for creativity is high, as Tony Stark is well known for his quippy lines and innovative gadgets. While we know very little about this project, I will happily await more and more information about this title to be released in the coming months.
