Elden Ring released to massive critical acclaim and from the data, is easily the most popular game to ever be on YouTube.

Elden Ring was easily one of the most anticipated games ever. Following the FromSoftware titles, many lauded the game, with many claiming that the game either met or even exceeded their own expectations. Our review of Elden Ring put the game at a 5/5 and was undoubtedly a masterpiece. The game was incredibly popular, more popular than I think anyone anticipated.

There is nothing that encapsulates this better than this post from YouTube Gaming on Twitter:

Gather ‘round Tarnished! Let’s look at the breakdown of how Elden Ring garnered 3.4 billion video views in 60 days, making it one of the biggest launches ever on YouTube ⚔️ pic.twitter.com/252qjZsmOv

— YouTube Gaming (@YouTubeGaming) August 2, 2022

Elden Ring amassed 3.4 billion views in the 60 days following the release of the game. This is a full billion views more than the next most viewed game, Grand Theft Auto V. This means that Elden Ring has the most views in 60 days than any other game.

The post also contains more information in terms of what the videos uploaded were based on. In terms of uploads by bosses, Margit the Fell Omen stands as the boss with the most uploads, which would make sense due to how popular he is, particularly when he is regarded as one of the most difficult bosses in gaming… And he’s the first one.

Another breakdown showed that the Samurai was the class that had the most uploads, which also makes a great deal of sense due to the fact that the Samurai’s starting weapon is the best starting weapon in Elden Ring. This post alone portrays just how much of a cultural icon Elden Ring was and is following its release.
