Elden Ring surpasses God of War Ragnarök, Horizon: Forbidden West and others to become 2022’s Game of the Year.

Elden Ring fans, this one is for you. What you have all been waiting for is finally here. With all the debates going around as to which game deserves to be Game of the Year. As the Game Awards showcase many potential great games to come next year, as well as of course other awards being handed out, there was just one that we have all been waiting for. But you don’t have to wait any longer, because it has been announced that Elden Ring is your winner of 2022’s Game of the Year.

Now, many are ecstatic to this, while others feel another game should have won instead. Most of those feel that other strong nominee God of War Ragnarök was the true winner. Although, it wouldn’t have been a surprise if the latter did win it. But ultimately, when it comes down to it, both games are great and either one of them could’ve won it. But this year belongs to Elden Ring. It was able to beat Ragnarök, Horizon: Forbidden West etc. That in itself is incredibly impressive and deserved the award.

The moment you’ve all been waiting for, Game of The Year! A massive congratulations to @ELDENRING for their big win! @fromsoftware_pr #TheGameAwards pic.twitter.com/3042IRMEcm
