Within the last 48 hours, football as we know it has changed completely. Wherever you are, or whatever sport you follow, you would surely know about the 20-team Super League that has been imposed by leading bodies Florentino Perez, Stan Kroenke, Joel Glazer, etc. You may also know that the Super League is set to have its inaugural season in August. If you haven’t heard this news, then 9 times out of 10 you are living under a rock.

As expected, this new project has met with almost universal outrage from fans, pundits, footballing governing bodies, and so on. Just in case you do not know which clubs are involved, the confirmed clubs are Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus, and AC Milan. The remaining 8 will have teams like FC Porto, who are expected to join, and 4 guest clubs who will be invited based on their performances in that season.

The Premier League has threatened to ban the 6 participating English clubs from the league, and UEFA has threatened to ban all participating clubs from the Champions League and Europa League. Plus, it is widely said that the Super League will destroy football forever. But what about the future of FIFA games? How will they be affected by all of this?? Well, according to a Twitter news page, all Super League clubs have decided to exit FIFA football games, starting with the upcoming FIFA 22.

Can you imagine for one minute what it would be like if FIFA didn’t have teams like elite clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, etc.? It’s fair to say that it would leave a massive hole in the franchise. There is no confirmation from Electronic Arts, DICE, or any footballing governing bodies. This rumour hasn’t even been addressed yet. However, it will have adverse effects on the franchise.
