TwistedRed reveals its next big release Exomecha, a free-to-play game featuring giant sword-fighting robots, during the Xbox Games Showcase.

TwistedRed Games, a new studio, has stepped onto the world gaming stage with the announcement that its debut title, Exomecha, is coming to Xbox and PC in 2021. The studio has turned its investment into a promising trailer released on the Xbox Game showcase. The game looks like the lovechild of Transformers and Halo, at first blush, with Warhammer serving as a godparent.

Exomecha has a very similar feel to the Halo franchise, especially on the weaponry front. With the initial trailer showing robotic troops storming a beachfront, even the pacing seems similar. The trailer features similar armaments to what Master Chief might have available: helicopters that can be hijacked by dispatching the pilot, tanks, smooth-bodied machine guns with scopes, and other vehicles. At one point in the trailer, a soldier flies by on a hoverboard, only to be blasted out of the sky.

The stars of the show, the giant Transformers-like robots, brandish shields, and swords, have their titanic battle while their smaller and more vulnerable cohorts face off at their feet. Theories go out of control about what Exomecha’s ongoing interaction will involve. This FPS might be very Halo-like, yet there are components at play that recommend something else.

The monster blade wielders could be characters in themselves, yet it would not be irrational to accept from their automated appearance that they could likewise consider vehicles and can, thusly, be caught, much the same as the helicopters and tanks additionally showing up in this game. Player reactions to the news have been everywhere up until now, from pleased expectation to lack of concern.

TwistedRed is trying to make its title a unique gameplay experience, and hopefully, Exomecha will appeal to the broad player base. Exomecha will be coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
