Final Fantasy’s newest protagonist comes to Eorzea as part of FF14’s newest collaboration.
Final Fantasy XIV is a well-known MMO that offers multiple limited-time events that you can take part in in-game. With the most recent game update, Yoshi P has introduced a limited-time collaboration event with Final Fantasy XVI that brings Clive Rosfield to the game. From 2nd April until 8th May, you can take on a series of quests and obtain in-game rewards. To take part, you must be level 50 and have completed the main story quest “The Ultimate Weapon”.
During this month, you get the opportunity to fight alongside Clive in an attempt to defeat FF16’s version of the Primal Ifrit. Upon winning the fight, you are rewarded with a coffer that contains Clive’s outfit, which can be used to glamor your gear across any class! Quest rewards also allow you to ride their very own Torgal mount and a Torgal minion. And yes, you can pet the dog!
In addition to these quest rewards, there are even more rewards or items that you can claim. Visiting certain vendors at the Gold Saucer, you can find a Triple Triad card for Clive, and up to 10 orchestrion rolls that feature different music from Final Fantasy XVI. These rewards are also included as part of the collaboration and will disappear when the event comes to an end.
You can enjoy this collaboration up until 8th May, including a free trial. It is unknown if the event will be around in future updates, so grab your rewards while you can! Also this month, the brand new Final Fantasy XVI DLC, “The Rising Tide”, is scheduled to be released for anyone playing on PS5!
