Flint: Treasure of Oblivion debuts an exciting new trailer and release date.

Drumming up excitement for its new release, Microïds published the latest story trailer for Flint: Treasure of Oblivion just in time to coincide with the hype of Gamescom 2024, currently on its final day of new announcements and video games for attendees to try out exclusively. Set to release on October 24, 2024, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion is a Turn-Based Tactical RPG set in the always popular realm of pirates, where players will discover a faithfully recreated, historically inspired narrative that will leave the most fervent fans of the genre satisfied.

The first entry of studio Savage Level, but composed by longtime gaming industry veterans, they knew exactly what they were going to set out to do with this game. “Flint: Treasure of Oblivion is an occasion for us to develop a game in a universe we have always been passionate about. This game gives us the possibility of informing the general public about what piracy really was, often portrayed in a caricatured and wrong way.”

“Flint: Treasure of Oblivion is the culmination of a rethinking process aimed at advancing the clichés of narration in video games. With this title, we are proposing an original way of telling stories through the medium of comic books and take the opportunity to highlight the Franco-Belgian comics that have been making us dream since our childhood.” declared Aurélien and Maxime Josse, Savage Level founders.

Created in the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5, gamers will embark on a timeless adventure as Captain Flint, his second-in-command Billy Bones, and their crew search for legendary treasure promising freedom and fortune. With its unique approach to storytelling, Flint will tell its tale inspired by traditional comic strips, embodying both the fantasy approach from that medium and an immersive pirate story.

Like Microïds’s’ Agatha Christie series, a great challenge awaits those craving to prove themselves, as Flint: Treasure of Oblivion’s detailed tactical combat rewards those who prepare before a fight. Carefully choosing your crew members with unique abilities, obtaining new skills, and improving your dice can all turn the tide of battle. Special attribute cards can give you an edge over your opponents to claim victory and the riches you and your crew have long been waiting for.

Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will be released on October 24, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store, GOG and Steam.
